at times I find myself overwhelmed by the abundance in the world. by the abundance that is this world. beauty and gifts are all around me, every moment a possibility to feel grateful. and yet it’s my choice. it is there in the morning songs of birds and the green, still silence of my trees. it is there in the sky no matter its blueness or its cloudness—it’s there regardless. it is there in the landscape of this place— the one natural and the one i just created myself out of soil, and mulch, and stone. and sweat. it is there in the greeting of a friend, and everyone is a friend when you greet them with a smile. so, smile. it is there in laughter, and even sometimes tears. it is present when i am present; i should be present more. it’s on me when i don’t notice. does abundance still exist when it goes unnoticed? does beauty? does kindness? does love? yes. we need to believe they do. that they all do. each new day the world offers to us its possibility. the completion of its realization is us showing up for it.

Yes! It's all about paying attention. When we slow up and notice the details, we're in line with what Mary Oliver said. "Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it." You do that very well.
I love your sketch Created by Human Intelligence. You may want to copyright that image. Or not.
Lovely, Kert. 🙂💚
