Thanks for these words Kert! Throughout the whole post, I was thinking of how our little ones also pick up on our energies (even when we think they aren’t)! The seven word mantra - which I was reading patiently 😜 to get to - also struck a chord in what littles must often think in relationship with adults yet don’t have a way to directly express. Big lessons in these seven words for me too ❤️

In a week of exhaustion, frustration, not knowing how to connect and comfort, tears and discontent, I prayed for peace, wisdom and guidance. Today while the sun and house still sleep, I have peace. Your dad's words let me see my week differently.... though I know "thank you for my patience" is not verbalized or even thought of , it was there, hanging by a thread, because it was needed and I can now choose to see it with appreciation- wisdom. "Spit out the sour taste of unmet expectation" another reminder of my thought process, love takes time -guidance. Your words (and your dad's) continue to teach and for me today, they were prayers answered. Love is patience in a different color isn't it? Wishing you peace and strength and the vision of those 7 words. If not you, then who?

Thank you for this lovely reflection Holli! There most definitely are invitations to patience surrounding us at virtually every moment. Most, we don’t resonate with for one reason or another. But when that resonance surfaces, in THAT moment, there is a kind of sublime peace that nourishes. Right?
